Here's my card for the
Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #126. I have to tell you why I felt like making a card with a heart... Can you imagine how chocked I was when I noticed that the diamond that was on my wedding ring was missing!!! And of course I wasn't at home... so it could be somewhere in the snow or in the car, who knows!! Well, when I got back home, I took a flashlight and look at the floors everywhere. And guess what?? It's incredible but I found it in the bathroom!!! I was sooo happy!!! My husband thought that I would never find it again! And so I just had to make a card for him!!
The heart is from the Seasons of Love - Tags set. The sentiments are also from the same set. The sentiment on the heart is framed with the Fancy framed Tags Two of Spellbinders. The stamped background is from the Way out West set. The vellum doily is made with the Dainty Doilies 2 Small set. I also made one vellum and two felt flowers with my Sizzix Flowers, 3-D die. I stitched the edges, added some ribbons, a bow, a button and a cute little key charm.
Here's Iwona's great sketch:
I will also enter this card to the
CR84FN Color Challenge. We are asked to use burgundy, gray and cream as the main colors. Here are the beautiful photos for inspiration:

ReplyDeleteAnna-Elise, What an elaborate ending to a strong heart-rending story! Real life doesn't get any better! Thrilled to read that you located the love diamond. A replacement is okay, just not the same as the marriage diamond! Cheering with you! (My story is a thread of a grip left on one ring prong held a whisper of an edge of the diamond until I could wrap clear adhesive tape around by finger and get to the jeweler after work! Took a year and a half to save the money to pay for the repair.) You did your DH proud! What a card in celebration of your love and your devotion. Keep Looking UP! mt23stamper@yahoo

SUPER beautiful card, Anne-Elise, and I'm so glad you found your diamond! I lost mine a long time ago and never found it. :(
ReplyDeleteHi Anne-Elise
ReplyDeleteMy laptop is broken again and hanging by the skin of its teeth so to speak so before it is out of order completely I would like to wish you and all your loved ones Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Have a fantastic time!
Warm wishes and hugs
Michaela xx
I admire your gorgeous style so much, this is beautiful. Have a wonderful Christmas. X
ReplyDeleteNämä sinun korttisi ovat ilo silmälle, kaikki niin hurjan kauniita ja upeasti toteutettuja!! Hyvää ja askartelun innoittamaa uutta vuotta 2013!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, I have that stamp set too. Love what you have created, and great colour scheme. So glad you found your diamond, you must have a guardian angel. My daughter lost one of the diamonds from her engagement ring, but as the ring was so new the shop repaired it free of charge, get the jeweller to check if there aren't any other loose ones.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely comment on my blog.
Hugs Carol x
