September Bedtime Story Sketch.

Hello Everyone!!

Time just goes so fast and I haven't been able to craft as much as I would have liked to… Our little Leonel had his first birthday yesterday!! He is a very cute and happy little boy who almost walks and goes everywhere!

You can imagine that' it's not easy to find some me time, but when I saw the sketch for the Pajama Party of Waltzingmouse I knew at once what I wanted to do… I love the new Little Darlings Images set so much… it is just gorgeous!!! And so I stamped the pram and cut it with this great Baby Carriage Die set.

I made a vellum doily with the Dainty Doilies 2 Small set and the wooden background is made with one of the Way out West stamp. The little cute heart on the tag is from the Make Your Mark set. I just added some lace, ribbons, a felt heart and some white pearls. I also stitched the edges and here it is:

Here's the great sketch of this month:

Wishing you all a great party and hopefully I'll be able to craft and see all of your work more often!

For Jan.

I had the chance to meet Jan and her husband Mike this winter. We had a great time together and I will never forget these moments. Jan is a great lady and she has made so much for Flourishes.  I really wish you all the best, Jan!

I wanted to make You a special card for this great party! The sentiment of the set Flowers for Jan is just perfect… I love it and it's so true!! I chose these flowers, because I know that you love them and they are so beautiful! You can also see seven little rhinestones… two representing me and Timo and five for our children…

People will walk

Have a great day, Jan!! Wishing you good health and lots of hugs!!

January Beautiful World Tour.

Beautiful World Graphic

Hello Everyone!

Anne-Elise here this month to welcome you to the first Beautiful World Tour of the year 2014!! I wish you all a beautiful, happy and crafty New Year!!

This month I'm the hostess and I chose the "Vintage" theme to challenge the team. I wanted to make something beautiful to start this new year and I chose the dress form from the Feminine Charm set. I colored it with different Copic markers: Creamy CollectionLenten Rose Collection, Cool Neutrals and Green Grass Collection. I made some flowers, stitched the edges, added different layers and a pink seam binding ribbon. The cute little tag is made with the classic tag die set and the sentiment is from the Tiny Flowers and Tags set. Three little buttons and white pearls to finish it off!

I also wanted to bring you a warm greeting from Florida where we spent our Christmas holidays this year. We had the chance to go to Pensacola (it was a very long drive from Miami) and see Jan and Mike and the Flourishes home base. We really enjoyed our time there. We went with Mike to the Naval Aviation Museum and then later to the beautiful beach. I had never seen a beach with white sand… it was really gorgeous!! Thank you again, Jan and Mike for the great time we had with you!! I'm just so sad because we lost all the photos that were on Timo's phone and so the first photo is the only one I have with Mike...

You can also see the cute little charms that were made with shrink plastic. These stamps are from the Simply Charming stamp set. The bow is made with some ivory seam binding.

Great News!

Hello Everyone!

I'm so happy to announce you that our dear and sweet little boy was born on the 13th of September 2013!! And can you believe that he was born on our 16th wedding anniversary day!! We couldn't have a better gift!! The number 13 has always been a lucky number for us! We really feel so blessed! These past 9 months haven't been easy, but now we are all enjoying being able to hold our little sweet heart. Here in Finland, the baby's name is only given at the baptism, so we still have a little bit time to think about the name!

Our baby boy's weight was 2900 grams and 48 cm at the birth. He is so cute and tiny!

Bedtime Story Sketch Challenge.

Hello Everyone!

I'm so happy to have been able to make a card for this Waltzingmouse sketch challenge #2! I know, you haven't seen me a lot here on my blog during these last few months... so many things have happened and I really wished I had more time for crafting... I now just hope that I will soon be able to share very special news with you!!

This time I chose to make a baby card for a little boy. I used the Country Labels No.4 for the frame and the Nordic Baby stamp set for the sentiment. There are many different layers and also three little roses made with my Sizzix Flowers, 3-D die. I added a bow with a little white heart, a Welcome tag and a few pearls and here it is:

September Beautiful World Tour.

Beautiful World Graphic

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the September Beautiful World Tour! Time is just going so fast... summer is almost over in Finland and we can already feel the fall coming... the weather is not so warm anymore and the nights are dark.

This month our lovely hostess is Aleksandra and our theme is a Postcard!

Did you know that your travel around Flourishes World gives you the opportunity to win a FREE FLOURISHES STAMP SET?? All we ask is that you leave a comment on each one by September 30th for your chance to win!!

If you've jetted in from Aleksandra's blog, then you have arrived at the right destination! If you haven't, perhaps you'd like to start your journey back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss all the beautiful inspiration along the way!

For my card, I chose the Antique Map and the S' More Fun stamp sets. I know, my card doesn't really look like a postcard, but I was thinking about something connected to travels because when traveling you often send a postcard! This summer we had the opportunity to travel a little bit around Finland in a motorhome and that's why I chose this cute caravan! A postcard is usually flat, but I just couldn't leave it without some extras! So I put some lace and twine! The Antique Map image was stamped on vellum. I also stitched some of the edges and here it is:

August Beautiful World Tour.

Beautiful World Graphic

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the August Beautiful World Tour! This month our lovely hostess is Naomi and the theme is a Flower Representing Our Country.

Did you know that your travel around Flourishes World gives you the opportunity to win a FREE FLOURISHES STAMP SET?? All we ask is that you leave a comment on each one by August 31st for your chance to win!!

If you are doing the whole hop and have arrived straight from the Flourishes Blog, you are in the right place!

For my card, I chose the beautiful Waterlilies stamp set. I embossed the flower with white embossing powder on vellum and fussy cut three layers. The leaves were colored with the Copic Sketch Green Grass Collection. The pink layer under the waterlily is made with one of the Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals Dies. I also made a cute little heart charm with the Simply Charming stamp set. I added a Solid Wrinkled Ivory bow, some lace and Kraft and Ivory twine. I stitched the edges and added three little pins and rhinestones to finish it off!

Finland is a country of thousands of lakes, about 188 000 lakes! In many of them you can find different types of beautiful water flowers, but these ones are my favorite! They are just gorgeous! Last summer our kids found a baby frog in the garden of our summer cottage and they put it on a waterlily. We took some pictures before putting the cute little frog back in the lake!

Hello Everyone!!

Did you know that your travel around Flourishes World gives you the opportunity to win a FREE FLOURISHES STAMP SET?? All we ask is that you leave a comment on each one by July 31st for your chance to win!!

Citrus wasn't an easy theme for me.... I think that it's my first card with something yellow!!! I chose the beautiful Garden Gate stamp set and made white embossed vellum flowers. I colored the leaves with my green Copics from the Olive Green Collection. The sentiment is from the same set as the flowers. I also added a cute vellum butterfly from the Gerber Daisies set. The bow was made with some sunflower - primrose seam binding and twine. I stitched the edges and added some pearls and tiny silver glass beads to finish it off!
