The Pink Rose.

There's a new Sketch Challenge at Waltzingmouse! This time I wanted to use the new stamps I received yesterday! I love this rose from the Roses in Bloom stamp set. I stamped the rose three times on a very light pink paper and then cut it in three different layers and put a brad in the middle. The leaves were made on vellum. I also cut a white felt heart with the Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Hearts die. The wooden background is from the Way Out West stamp set and is embossed with white powder. I stitched the edges and just added different ribbons and pink twine and three pearls.

  8. This is just stunning. I would have never paired the wood grain with that dainty whispy vellum flower but it looks so beautiful in contrast and so natural. Genius and Gorgeous!
