Triple Play!

There's another Noon Time Challenge at Flourishes! This one is called Triple Play! All we need to do is use three of something on our card, pearls, flowers, colors, layers... the sky is the limit! I thought about doing a three color card for a sweet and cute girl... and so I chose pink, green and white with the letter A from the Letters in Bloom stamp set of Flourishes. I made the background of the letter with the Spellbinders die called Floral Ovals. I added some flowers from the Summer Blossom set. I made three flowers on vellum. The white ones are stamped twice and embossed in white. The pink one is stamped three times and embossed in pink. I just put a brad in the middle. There are also three different papers for the background. To finish it, I also added three different ribbons and three pearls in one corner. I stitched the edges and here it is:

Hello!

There's a Noon Time Challenge at Flourishes. This challenge is all about vibrant color! We just have to pick the color and just make sure it's bold and beautiful! I chose the Medallion Motif stamp set of Flourishes to make this card. I stamped the beautiful image twice. The first time I embossed it with clear powder and distressed it in pink. The second time I embossed it with silver powder. I cut the images by hand and put them on foam pads. In the middle I stamped the sentiment and added a pink rhinestone. I also put some clear stones around the sentiment. I stitched the edges and put a ribbon in the corners. My son said that it's a bling bling card, but I have to say that I like the way it turned out! :) Not very easy to have a good picture because the silver part is very shiny, but here are some:

The Pink Rose.

There's a new Sketch Challenge at Waltzingmouse! This time I wanted to use the new stamps I received yesterday! I love this rose from the Roses in Bloom stamp set. I stamped the rose three times on a very light pink paper and then cut it in three different layers and put a brad in the middle. The leaves were made on vellum. I also cut a white felt heart with the Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Hearts die. The wooden background is from the Way Out West stamp set and is embossed with white powder. I stitched the edges and just added different ribbons and pink twine and three pearls.

For You.

It's Timeless Tuesday #177 at Flourishes today! It's Denise's turn to host the challenge. This challenge is all about getting "sentimental" and using a sentiment as the centerpiece of the card. I chose the sentiment from Hearts & Flowers stamp set of Flourishes. I used the Spellbinders Floral Ovals die to make the background of this sentiment. Then I stamped the lace stamp on vellum. This stamp (Lace Edges) is a retiring one, so be quick if you want it! The tag is from Tiny Flowers and Tags. I made two felt roses and a vellum one with the Sizzix Flowers, 3-D die. I stitched the edges, put a white velvet ribbon and jute twine with a button and some white pearls.

Baby Girl.

This month, the Bring Back Beautiful Challenge of Flourishes is all about birds, butterflies, even lady bugs! As I have made many cards with butterflies, I wanted to make a card with birds and also wings of an angel! The only stamp I have with birds is the very cute stamp from Hello Baby! of Flourishes and so I made a baby girl card. I made a white frame to this beautiful image with the Spellbinders Picot Edge Circles die. I made a cute little white felt bird with the Bird, Flower & Leaf die of Sizzix. I also stitched the edges and made an angel charm. Behind the angel and the bow you can see the wings I made with vellum. I added a white velvet ribbon with jute twine, a bow and some white pearls.

Peacock Butterflies.

There's a sketch challenge at Flourishes! When I saw it, I thought about doing a little pocket and put two different cards in it! (Just saw that somebody else had also the same idea!) I chose the Butterfly Blossoms stamp set of Flourishes. I used the Romantic Rectangles dies of Spellbinders to make the little cards and one background. I cut the flowers and put them on dimensional pads to give them a 3D effect. The butterflies were also cut by hand. I made the background of the butterflies with the beautiful stamp of Flourishes called Damask Background and I just saw that it is a retiring stamp, so be quick if you want it! I embossed it with clear powder. I added some jute twine and a white velvet ribbon, a blue button, a little tag made with Tiny Flowers and Tags of Flourishes, some pearls, stitching and here it is:

Pink Hydrangea.

This week at Flourishes, it's Maki's turn to host Timeless Tuesday #176 challenge. She asks us to create a card with a summer theme. I chose the Hydrangea stamp set, because I love these flowers! We have here in Finland a very short summer and for me flowers are very important. This is the first time I made a card with this beautiful stamp. I cut the image with one of the Standard Circles Large die of Spellbinders and left some leaves outside the die. I cut some of the flowers by hand and popped them with foam pads to give them a 3D effect. I made the background of the flower with the Fleur De Lis die. I also used one of the Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Grand Scalloped Squares die to make the other background. The sentiment is stamped on vellum and cut with the Ribbon Banners die. The stamp is from With Gratitude stamp set. I also stitched the edges with my sewing machine. I just added some white pearls, a white velvet ribbon and a bow with a pink button and twine and here it is:
